If you have used Gmail on the web before, you would know it does not allow streaming videos without locally downloading them. However, now you no longer need to do that, because a new feature will allow you to stream the videos online, without downloading them.

This update will enable a thumbnail along with the clip, which is contained in the attachment. This will allow the users to play the clip without downloading. Thus by simply clicking on the play button, you will be able to play the video, this will also do away with the requirement of a dedicated app for the same.

This feature is similar to what you are provided with, in other video streaming apps, including YouTube, and even Google drive. The new interface is in-fact very similar to the one in YouTube, except, here you have an additional button to make changes in the speed. The quality at which you stream and view videos, is as good as you what you experience on popular sites like YouTube and more.

This feature has however not been launched yet, and is expected to be launched in another 15 days or more.
