Following the passing of S.J. Res 34, which permits Internet providers to look through and even buy and sell your web browsing history, many Popular porn sites like PornHub and YouPorn, have came forward to ensure users that their personal details won’t be shared.

Pornhub officially announced that with over 70 million daily visitors, the site wanted to maximize user satisfaction and maintain their privacy. Thus ensuring whatever they are doing and searching on the site remains strictly confidential. They don’t feel that government will gain any important information about a potential criminal by going through their porn viewing history.

They will enforce this safeguard by switching to Hypertext Transfer Protocol, which will protect user identity and also shield them against any malware released by third parties. Pornhub has switched to HTTPS since Thursday and YouPorn is expected to make this plunge by 4th April.

They have encrypted their data, which makes it significantly harder for any third party intruders to penetrate in your current content. This makes these porn sites safer and more private then they have been ever. Adapting HTTPS will add an extra layer of security to these sites, thus allowing them to protect users’ privacy.
