According to a latest unofficial render, it is being speculated that the upcoming Google Chrome Pixel 2 will be the next Smartphone to ditch the traditional headphone jack in its design. This render has been made on MySmartPrice.com by Steve Hemmerstoffer who runs Twitter handle @onleaks, a gadget leaker, and is known for giving some of the most accurate gadget leaks. This powerful rumor backup claims that Google Chrome Pixel 2 will mostly likely don’t have a headphone jack.

If these speculations are true, then it is going to be interesting how Google will announce this detail, and they might even add a value proposition, of removing its headphone jack, and will include a tech which is designed to easily connect wireless headphone to the Smartphone’s. Last year Apple also ditched headphone jack in its iPhone 7, however it did offer wireless headphones with a W1 chip, which doesn’t make connectivity a hassle in the device.

Now it looks like Google along with Apple is ditching the headphone jack for good. So if you want to invest in Google Chrome Pixel 2 than you will have to use wired headphones, you will have to dongle like you operate with iPhone 7. The render also confirmed that Pixel 2 XL will come with a larger design with a broader display, compared to the original Pixel. Google Chrome Pixel 2 will also have a glass back plate in both its variants.

No matter how legit or prolific this gadget leaker is, any information pertaining to Google Chrome Pixel 2 can’t be confirmed until and unless Google confirms or denies this rumor. Users seemed to react in a positive way to the iPhone 7 change, which will potentially help Google Pixel sales too. Guess we will have to wait for Google to make an announcement now.
