JIO 4G Phone: Everything you need to know
With the announcement of effective zero JioPhone, Reliance has caused a stir in the market and has witnessed a huge number of online pre-booking which even surpassed their expectations. The JioPhone has 4G VoLTE and is surely going to become a game-changer for telecom industry as it will shift the Indian users from 2G/3G network to 4G.
The delivery has begun and rural areas are given first priority but there is no update on the opening of pre-booking again because Reliance has temporarily halted the bookings. The effective zero 4g Phone will come with a preloaded JIO SIM and users are supposed to recharge it with INR 153, and Aadhaar card is required to verify the details and for activation. The phone won’t allow other SIM cards but the previously owned SIMs can be inserted. The phone comes with a charger, Dedicated microSD slot, battery and a SIM inside the phone.
The display of the phone is 320 x 240 pixels with a 2.4 inch Screen and sports a dual-core processor which could be either Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 210 or Spreadtrum 9820A. The MicroSD card storage can be of 128 GB and its internal storage is 4GB with 512 MB RAM. The cameras of the phone are decent, as the front camera is having VGA resolution, and features a 2 MB rear camera. The battery is detachable and is of 2000 mAh. There are multiple options like Torch, SOS Option, FM Radio, speaker, etc which makes it a great phone given its prize.
There are a few preloaded apps like JioPay, JioTV, JioMusic, etc and the phone runs on Linux based KaiOS. Jio is also introducing a unique voice assistant called HelloJio which is expected to follow basic voice commands like text messaging and the feature will support different Indian languages.
