Now you Can Change your Gmail ID, without losing access to older email
Google has some good news to share with millions of users who are still suffering from the email address that they chose when they were teenagers. The tech giant has started to roll out a feature that will allow users to change their Gmail ID (i.e., @gmail.com) to a new one without losing any email, contact, or file associated with their account. It is a feature that has been long-awaited by many Gmail users.
Google is ending a 20-year-long frustration, your inbox, history, and files will remain unchanged.
How the New System Works

Until now, the only option that a Gmail user had, if anyone wanted to get a new Gmail account, was to leave their old account in full and manually export all their data to a new account and start a new – a long and complex process that usually meant losing years of emails worth of history and severing all their connections with other applications and services.
In the new system, everything works smoothly. Once you have selected a new address, your old address does not disappear. Instead, it will become an active alternative address. This alternative address will be linked to your new address. This means that you will receive all your messages in both email accounts. Moreover, all information on Google Drive files and Photos or on YouTube and Maps will still be there.
Limitations & Rollout Details

This feature does come with safety barriers. Users can change their gmail ID to a new username once a year- up to three times total. The update is now available for individual Gmail users in the US. There will be a slow rollout for all users worldwide.
