Apple Inc. officially turned 50 years old on Wednesday, marking a milestone in the tech giant’s history since Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Ronald Wayne founded Apple Computer on April 1, 1976. What started as a small venture has gone a long way to become one of the largest tech companies that has been created in the history of the world. Apple’s 50th anniversary is a phenomenon that is being contemplated by the entire tech world.
All the operations, including the first production facility, were conducted in the family garage in Los Altos, California. The difference between the lowly origins and the present position of the technological giant is vast.
Five Decades of World-Changing Products

Over the last 50 years, Apple has led the innovation process, releasing a series of revolutionary products, i.e., Apple II, Macintosh, iPod, iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, Apple Vision Pro, Apple Music, Apple Pay, iCloud, and numerous more, that transformed the way people live, work, and communicate.

As a celebration of this achievement, Apple organized a set of special events around the world in March 2026 that united fans, creators, and innovators to look back at the extraordinary story of the company in the last 50 years.
Apple also revised the homepage with a special animated video with sketch-art illustrations of the most iconic products it has ever created, and provided millions of users around the world with a visual tour of the rich history of the company.

Speaking on the occasion of Apple’s 50th anniversary, Apple CEO Tim Cook said, Thinking differently has been at our core since the very beginning, enabling us to design and innovate products that empower people to express themselves, connect with others, and create.
As Apple enters the next 50 years, the company has been innovating in the field of artificial intelligence, health technology, and spatial computing, and this proves that the spirit of innovation is still alive and strong at Apple.
