Samsung’s latest phone Galaxy S8 will be unveiled by the company on 29th March. Samsung showed its latest version of Gear VR in Barcelona’s Mobile World Congress. This fourth iteration of the device allows you to transform several Samsung Galaxy smartphones into an optional virtual reality helmet, which now also comes with a dedicated controller.

Nascent Virtual Reality Movement met its first bona fide hit with Gear VR. More than 5 Million VR gears wear have been sold since January. These sales are attracting investors to initiate in larger VR platforms like Play Station VR, HTC Vive, and Oculus Rift combined.

However, Gear VR is not as advanced as its rivals Viveve or Oculus. Like Google Cardboard and Google Daydream, you will have stand still or sit, and turn around features to look at different things.

It includes an impressive application library which allows you to host 360 degree videos, while streaming with the same degree of content. It is a portable and easy alternative, which makes it an idealistic basic VR viewer.

Gear VR is the perfect purchase with its VR controller, which might feel like a wand. It includes a great library of apps and fits perfectly on your face, which makes it a better fit than Daydream (used by Google in its VR technologies). However, it is not declared as to what products might be able to make use of these VR possibilities. Your Galaxy phone will work as hardware revamp for Gear VR. More sale of Galaxy S8 will possibly increase the chances of more Gear VR headsets.
