This is great news for millions of people worldwide who suffer from the problem of fainting.

What is fainting, and why is it dangerous?

Fainting is just simple. You black out for a moment and then wake up. It can be very hazardous, however. The most common type of fainting is called vasovagal syncope. Most take into account it to be simply VVS. At the time of a faint, the person loses consciousness for a few seconds. There’s nothing you can do about it. You have an abnormally slow heart rate. Rapidly falls in blood pressure. If so, then your body will give out, and you will fall.

Fall is the most dangerous thing. Anybody can have the potential to hit the back of their head on the ground. They are able to fracture a bone. Some people are severely injured. It’s possible to occur anywhere- at school, at the store, at home, or even on the street. It can occur anytime.

There are lots of people who faint at least two times in their lifetime. In fact, 4 out of 10 people will faint at least once. One in three of these will continue to pass away again and again. They don’t know when they will fall, but live their life every day. It’s very difficult and very stressful to deal with that.

What did Samsung Find Out?

Samsung conducted a large medical test in Korea with a hospital.

Samsung conducted a large medical test in Korea with a hospital. The name of that hospital is “Chung-Ang University Gwangmyeong Hospital”. For the test, they have used the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6. They applied it to 132 people who have a lot of fainting.

The watch features a small sensor located on the back of it. This sensor is a very small light that is aimed at your skin. It reads your heartbeat. Measures the action of your heart per second. Afterwards, a clever computer program analyzes all that information.

The watch could provide a warning five minutes ahead of time, prior to the person going down. This was accurate 85% of the time. 5 minutes is quite a good amount of time. You can sit down. It’s ok to lie on the floor. You can get someone’s attention for assistance. You can escape from a dangerous environment, such as stairs or a road.
